12mo pp. 418 (iv advertisements). Contains 12 illustrations engraved on steel after the popular painters of those days, including one fine plate after John Martin. Also containing a full page specimen of Congreve, printing with an embossed decoration in the style of Wedgeworth biscuit ware on a light-green background. Publisher’s apple green boards with all-over printed decoration, hinges cracking but not loose, otherwise a very clean copy in fine condition, and with the original slipcase which is rarely met with, a.e.g. Faxon 1304.
